Fall line Air Quality Study (FAQS)
Emissions Survey

In cooperation with and under the authority of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD), researchers at Georgia Tech are developing a 2000 Emission Inventory for Georgia. The release of certain chemical compounds can have an impact on local and regional air quality and thus, information about the amount, location, occurrence, and kind of emissions is necessary to assess and mitigate such impacts.

About 1500 business and industry owner/operators in Georgia are being asked to provide information about their facility, stacks, and activities. Specific information is sought for processes involving fuel burning or the evaporation of volatile organic compounds. Other information concerning the release of chlorine, ammonia, and particulate matter is also sought.

A complete copy of the survey with all associated instruction forms and worksheets in MS-Word 2000 and MS-Excel 2000 format is available in the Complete Survey (ZIP) package. Individual forms or instructions therein also may be downloaded by clicking on the links in the menu on the left of this page.
